Interpreting Risk Findings

Risk findings help prioritize review. A warning means a structure deserves attention, not that the file is automatically malicious or invalid.

Severity is triage

Use severity to decide what to review first. Warnings usually deserve immediate attention. Cautions and informational findings may still matter when they appear in sensitive, redacted, signed, or externally sourced PDFs.

Review context

Consider who created the file, where it came from, which viewer will open it, and whether the content matches the expected workflow.

Corroborate findings

Cross-check important findings against visible page content, related tabs, source workflow records, and expert review when the result affects security, legal, compliance, or publishing decisions.
